Apple Blossom in Watercolour

In this Two part demonstration Julie will show you her approach to painting apple blossom in a Kent Orchard.
Part 1
You will learn how to:-
*Interpret the stamens
*Apply a wet on wet background
*Paint soft pink flowerheads commencing with an under wash of a grey shadow

Part 2
*Interpret the foliage
*Branches
*Bee

You will need

Watercolours:
Ultramarine blue
Phthalo blue or Winsor blue(Green shade)
Permanent rose
Scarlet lake
Transparent yellow or Azo yellow
Burnt sienna

Size 8 round Kolinsky sable:- Jackmans Art materials
Size 12 round
masking tape

Watercolour paper:
Bockingford 140lb NOT (a slight texture)
Painting size 27 x 20cms
